Being a tourist in my own city …

It’s Saturday! The only day when we are all off from work worldwide (I think .. I hope? .. lol!). I’ve never understood why all of us can’t have the same weekend. But anyways …

As most of you know, I was in London for a few days not so long ago (you can read my ‘London Diaries‘ post here if you missed it). I enjoyed being a tourist and working on my #instatories so much that I decided to continue the norm and act like a tourist in my own city of Dubai after returning.

So here’s what has been going on so far. Every week, just before the weekend is about to start, I upload an #instastory taking my readers through a quick tour of the tourist attraction I have ‘picked’ for them. I aim to keep the videos short (it’s over long before you’ve yawned) but interesting enough to allow the curiosity to remain. If it makes you go ‘Wow, I can’t wait to visit Dubai‘ towards the end then my job is done! Sound good so far? It did to me too, except just that all my hard work disappears after 24 hours as an #instastory and there is no way to go back to it again. So I thought why not give it a try on the blog then! At least that way everyone can view it in their own time instead of being given a deadline.

So without further ado, today I’m taking you to a very popular attraction in Dubai called City Walk … So sit back, relax, turn up the volume and enjoy the free ride!

So what did you think? Have you booked your tickets to Dubai yet? 🙂

Needless to say, if you’ve enjoyed todays post, then don’t forget to hit ‘like’ and ‘share’ away. As I’m still fairly new to doing this kinda thing so would love to hear your feedback on it.

Until the next post, ‘Lets Keep it, Strictly Lighthearted!

    1. Am thrilles you enjoyed the post. Thank you so much. Ahh yes, I rememeber the 5 years I spent in London and could not stop talkin about Dubai. My boss would always joke around ‘perhaps you should be working for Dubai Tourism instead?’ 😁 But I share these posts with my London colleagues and now they understand why. Where are you based now?
