Tania’s Teahouse – My honest review

Ever walked into a place and felt like it was custom-made for you? That was me today at “Tania’s Teahouse” – the brand new pink-themed cafe that’s opened up in Dubai. It’s no secret to those who know me that I’m obsessed with the colour pink. So no surprises I felt an instant connection with the place even before I entered. It was a refreshing change from other cafe’s and felt like being welcomed into a close friends home rather than a cafe.

The plan was to have a quick cup of coffee, write a quick review and move on to the next venue within 30 minutes. But that aint happening in a place that is quickly becoming one of the most instagrammable cafe’s in Dubai and rightly so. With so much to say, where do I even begin? I should probably start off by saying this is NOT a paid promotion. Lol!

THE DECOR:

Prepare to find yourself saying ‘Awww so cute!’ in repeat mode. The entire pink and rose gold theme has been thought out so well, it buzzes with positive vibes. Everything has been done with such a creative spin, it only adds to the vibrant personality of the cafe.  I don’t think there is any part of the cafe (including the exterior) that has been left out or doesn’t reflect the overall theme. So make sure your phone is charged before you visit as you won’t be able to stop clicking!

THE FOOD:

I had such a good laugh reading through the quirky names that were given to each item (food & hot beverage both). The menu may not have a long list of options, but what they do offer is dee-licious! Quality over quantity any day! There are a lot of tea options for the tea connoisseurs as well. This is probably the first time I didn’t have to ask ‘Which is the most instagrammable item on the menu?’ (usual habit being a blogger). I was convinced if the decor was given so much thought, then the food had to be pretty good.  I was not disappointed at all. The portion was ideal and the taste even better.

THE GIFT SHOP:

I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t the biggest reason I came to the cafe in the first place. Being a tea crazy person, ever since I saw the ‘Hey there, Habib-Tea’ mugs on instagram, I had to get my hands on one. Other than mugs, they also have cute pieces of jewellery, notebooks, tshirts, bags etc. which would make great gifts for all age groups. Make sure you’re carrying extra money with you that day, as you wont be able to resist some of these adorable items. 🙂

THE SERVICE:

Impeccable! The warm welcome starts right from the word go as the cafe offers a valet service. So no need to worry about parking at all! Woohoo! You are immediately greeted by a friendly member of the staff as soon as you step in. Everyone was cheerful, friendly and knew the menu well. But the biggest surprise for me was seeing Tania, the owner, present at all times as well. It was wonderful to have a quick chat with her and hear how passionate she was about her teahouse.

THE VERDICT:

Highly recommended! My overall experience at Tania’s Teahouse was an excellent one. I’ve always had a soft corner for cafe’s that ooze with personality yet have that homely feel to it. It’s a well hidden retreat where you can slow down and relax. I’ll definitely be recommending it for all future breakfast catch ups with friends. Besides, the fact it opens at 10am only works in my favour as I hate 9am get togethers! Haha …

Thank you Tania’s Teahouse for such an amazing morning! I’ll be back ….

Until the next post, ‘Let’s Keep It Strictly Lighthearted!
