Day 27 – #AchievementUnlocked. (hey pssst, I wrote this in February 2020 but forgot to hit the publish button until today … May 2020!)
I know I’m making it sound like I won the Oscar, but hear me out!
It was back in February 2020 when I wanted my evenings to be phone free. So getting started on a puzzle seemed like a brilliant idea!
Long story short, I went to buy a 500 piece puzzle as my solo beginner’s attempt. But then I saw this landscape view and it was love at first sight. Spoiler alert, it’s true when they say ‘love is blind’ coz I underestimated how much 1500 pieces actually meant. But who cares? I was in love! The honeymoon period didn’t last very long because what followed was 3-4 days to just sort out the colors alone. What madness had I started here (and made it public on Instagram too, making failure no longer an option!). I did a quick calculation in my head and decided it would take at least another 30 years to complete, which was fine coz I could leave it for my worst enemy to complete once I’m gone. Sweet revenge!
Short story shorter, my target was to complete at least 2 rows of the puzzle before giving up. But then the pieces started to fall in place slowly but surely and next thing I knew, I was edging closer to the finish line! Return of the romance? Hell yea!
Shorter story reaching anti-climax, OMG, it’s finally DONE! To say I was ecstatic when I fit in the final piece would be an understatement. A whole new level of patience has been reached all thanks to one puzzle! I guess this also means I can finally get my dining table back (been hijacked by the puzzle for weeks now) but before I do that, I need to decide what I want to do with the finished puzzle first!
Break it or frame it?
Until the next post, ‘Let’s keep it Strictly Lighthearted!’ย
Well done Muna, I saw it on Instagram and was like wow! ๐

You should definitely frame it, especially after all the time and effort you’ve surely dedicated to it. ๐
Nice to see you around again! Hope you are doing well โค

Weโre in May now yet the puzzle is still lying on the guest room bed waiting to be framed! I tried puzzle glue but it didnโt stick together that well. Will probably do something about it when guests arrive and the puzzle needs a new spot! ๐

Quarantine started a week after this. Otherwise it would have been such a great activity to take up while staying at home!

If you love the photo….frame it. If you loved the fun of the challenge putting it together….break it.
Sometimes one thing is more important to you than the other. Great job!
